The Angel stands 20 metres tall with a wingspan wider than a jumbo jet, and somehow this loose pen and Inktense sketch still had to fight to get that scale across. Rust and burnt sienna washes carry the Corten steel; tiny figures at the base, barely more than marks, do the rest of the work — they're what make the wings look enormous.
Most people who live near it stop noticing it's there. This was painted to notice it again.
